Holy smokes! If you haven't heard Egypt is in uproar! The army was called out! Will it work?

And about 10 minutes ago, a middle aged man crossed the street at the intersection I am sitting at, singing "Total eclipse of the heart" lustily along with his mp3 player. I kid you not. And this gentleman was wearing a business outfit! Like, holy smokes! So I thought that could take some mentioning.

But seriously, look into Egypt, the mess is about to hit the fan!

Crisis

Sitting here, reading about the crisis in Tunisia, I have to wonder what this world is coming to. North Korea is allowing talks between other nations to possibly have effect, but what of it? Will it all be for naught?

 

There is talk about new gun laws in the wake of the shooting last week in Arizona, but will those do any good? What about the 9 year old girl who died? What about the others that died? Is not the loss of their life equal to that of the little girl?

 

What of this life, if not love? The purpose of some is the demise of others, and all are at odds with each other. Purposeless. What good is what some strive for, if those that follow merely destroy it? All for 2 years peace?

What of it all?

Hello!

So I was recently talking with some people, and I found out that one was living off of his GI bill and unemployment, and was going to start a hookah bar, and still live off of unemployment. He makes 3x what I do-which, granted, I don't make hardly anything-but am I wrong in thinking that perhaps I need to report this guy? I would feel weird doing it now since they are still getting everything off of the ground, but still, that seems really dishonest to me. Am I alone in that?

Holy Crap, a member of Congress got shot! Hopefully that will help people in politics to cool off and realize that getting along and agreeing isn't such a bad thing after all...

Wow its cold in my area! We almost had snow!

Sometimes you gotta make your own signs. Meaning, pick a direction and GO!

Great microphone to use on a piano, Crown PCC-160! Just use a little high pass filter to get rid of some of the rumble, and Mmm! It sure sounds sweet!

"I think sometimes we have to make our own signs"

A friend of mine just told me that, as we were chatting about how neither of us wants to know what to do with our lives, and how it would have been nice to get a massive sign in the sky telling us what to do. Very profound I think. I shall do my best to remember this.

I started sourdough, and then we had snow, and I didn't feed it for over a week, and it died. I think its time to get another batch going. Its frustrating though, since I haven't had a good batch since the very first, out of... 5. Which, a 20% passing rate is not that good. Now I did have one loaf in those batches turn out well, so I guess 25%, but still, that isn't the best in the world. I keep forgetting to turn the oven up, or down. I have gone through a lot of flour as well, which, while it isn't expensive, it gets that way because of all that I have gone through! But I SHALL get some good bread!

Dear sir in the library who is coughing up a lung:

Please go home or to a doctor. You have a bad cough, and call me crazy, but I can hear the phlegm in your throat as you try your hardest to yack up a lung or bronchial tube. Please take some oj or some medicine, and try your hardest to get better. I can almost feel the reverberations through the floor and into my chest even as your heaves carry. If you try, I think that even we here will donate some money to help you heal.

Happy New Year! I hope that you had a good one, and also a Merry Christmas!

So I don't know if you know, but my neck of the woods got quite a lot of snow recently. As in 8 inches. As in more snow than the years 2001-2003 combined for this area. That's not much. However everything got shut down for two almost three straight days, which was rather nice. I got to spend time at my parents house with my brothers, because, well, I had to! Which was great, because I actually LIKE my family! It was pretty cool playing settlers of Catan with then, or Mario cart, 2-1/2 hour snowball fights, that sort of thing. All around Christmas, so everyone is in a good mood! It was seriously terrific fun!

In other news, I have noticed that when I watch a British car show (Top Gear), I spend the next portion of time THINKING with an english accent. It I'd the weirdest thing, but inside my head, I am British! Does that happen to you? It doesn't really happen with any other accent that I can think of, but somehow the British accent just likes noodling about inside my head, and I can't help but think that it is translating out here!
